Position Summary: The Finance Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to the Controller. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that is fully remote, and require occasional in-person attendance for meetings or special events. Travel to and from work location is at the employee’s own expense. This position reports to Controller. key Responsibilities: Provide clerical and administrative support for accounting operations including but not limited to:

Enter invoices and journal entries in accounting software
Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and retirement plan remittances
Maintain an organized digital filing system for financial records
Maintain worksheets for expense tracking and reconciliation
Assist staff with transportation benefit coordination
Support agency in-person fundraising events by managing cash transactions
Handle special projects and additional tasks as assigned by Controller

Bachelor degree in Accounting
2+ years of experience in accounting clerical support and payroll processing
Good attitude and must have ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Must have access to private and secure high-speed internet connection
Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to multi-task and prioritize
Proficiency in MS Office, accounting system a must, and payroll software a plus
Strong work ethic, reliability, integrity
Reside within 75 miles of the office location (Center City Philadelphia)

Compensation and benefits:

$50,000 - $55,000 annual salary (based on experience)

100% remote work
