Proficient in handling confidential information with professionalism. Adept at gathering and analyzing data to develop effective solutions. Able to clearly interpret and communicate complex information both orally and in writing. Responsibilities: Review reports and referrals related to mental health crisis calls to determine necessary follow-up where necessary. Conduct individual and team mental health needs assessments and independently develop follow-up plans. Build and maintain professional relationships with community partners to enhance the delivery of mental health services. Establish processes for communicating effective strategies for responding to mental health crisis calls. Represent the department at public meetings and community outreach events as needed. Monitor legislative actions related to mental health and ensure departmental compliance with applicable laws. Support crisis negotiators in communication with individuals experiencing mental health crises during critical incidents. Provide up-to-date mental health resource information to department personnel. Assist in developing, implementing, and revising departmental policies and procedures for responding to mental health crises. Collect and maintain statistical data on departmental responses to mental health-related calls for service. Conduct data analysis and trend monitoring to recommend service improvements to leadership and community partners. Develop training curricula based on research and provide training to department personnel on intervening with mental health crisis consumers. Respond to critical incidents to offer guidance and support to department personnel as needed. Prepare written reports, records, and other communications. Any other duties as may be assigned.
