Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency care plans (ECPs) as needed. Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, including specialized medications for students with complex medical needs. Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, including first aid, CPR, and coordination with emergency medical services. Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, chronic disease management, and mental health. Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in accordance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA. Work closely with teachers, counselors, school administrators, and external healthcare providers to coordinate care and support for students.
