Here is some of whatyou can expect from being a Clinical Nurse Coordinator with us:
- Assumes responsibility for direction andcoordination of all functions during the designated shift
- Functions as a resource person for staff memberand assists in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff.
- Assumes responsibility for the overall qualityof nursing care provided when s/he is on duty
- Makes decisions regarding activities with theseareas based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing AdministrativeStandards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for the unit, incollaboration with other members of the management team.
What qualifications you willneed:
- Currentlicensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current activemultistate Registered Nurse license. BCLSrequired. ACLS required within 1 year. ONS within 12 months of hire. OCN&/or BMT-CN certification within 18 months of hire. NIH Stroke Scalecertification required within 3 months of hire.
- Graduateof an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Activity in professionalorganizations encouraged.
- Two(2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit andleadership/ management experience is preferred.
- Continuingdemonstration of clinical and leadership competency. Commitment andunderstanding of staffing matrix/productivity standard. Committed to the goals of the unit, patientsafety initiatives and positive patient experience.
- Demonstratesgood organizational skills. Providessafe and appropriate patient care within the standards of nursingpractice. Displays judgment and superiorproblem solving skills. Communicatespositively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
