HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is a 411-bed acute care facility that has provided quality care to the Lake Houston area for over 25 years. It is home to the areas only comprehensive cardiac, neuroscience and women services programs. Our Women & Childrens Center provides Level II and III neonatal intensive care units, high-risk obstetrics, a breast diagnostic center, a designated pediatric unit, and the areas only pediatric emergency department.

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
What you will do in this role:
- The Nurse Practitioner is a collaborative member of the health care team who delivers nursing and collaborative medical aspects of care to specific populations within the scope of care delineated by the licensing board, professional standards of care, and as outlined through the medical staff credentialing process.
- Nurse Practitioners collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to review the plan of care, intervene when necessary to ensure adequate delivery of quality, cost-effective care and maintain continuity of care through appropriate referral and follow-up.
- The Nurse Practitioner may diagnose medical and nursing conditions, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate patient response to therapy under the direction of and in collaboration with the supervising physician or the designated attending physician.
- The ultimate goal is to improve patient care while achieving physician-directed medical goals
Qualifications
What you will need: Advance Practice Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas with Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) certification required.
Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience in critical care required
Current RN licensure in the State of Texas. Evidence of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners (TXBNE) recognition as an AGACNP.
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support course (ALS or ACLS)
Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
