We are seeking a Director of Medical/Surgicalfor Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Rehab Center.The Director facilitates, coordinates anddelegates the delivery of patient care to a defined group of patients duringtheir entire hospitalization period. Provides leadership and overallresponsibility for the functioning of assigned clinical patient care/proceduralunit(s). What You Will Do In Your Role:
TheDirector reports to the Senior Director, Vice President and/or the ChiefNursing Officer
Responsible24 hours a day, with full accountability, for 70-80 staff, 42 beds, andmanagement of patient care in each of his/her units, for promoting the practiceof professional nursing in a specified patient care area, and for theacquisition, development, and utilization of resources (human and material)needed to fulfill those responsibilities.
Liaisonbetween physicians and the patient care team and works cooperatively withadministrators, physicians, staff, other managers and all customers of theMethodist Healthcare System to provide services, which consistently meet andexceed the expectations of their customers.
Assessand prioritize opportunities to improve, plan and implement effective changesand evaluate outcomes of process improvement activities.
Qualifications
Whatqualifications you will need:
- Three years recent RN acute care experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Must have current RNlicense to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas or ability toobtain temporary license prior to hire.Musthave Texas RN license within 90 days of hire.
