As a Records Coordinator II, you will:
Participate in/oversee the maintenance of all records and the preparation of new patient records.
Review clinical records for accuracy, file all incoming documentation, and ensure compliance to Company policies.
Respond to external information requests, order/distribute medical supplies and maintain adequate inventory.
Coordinate workload and oversees data entry.
Work under general supervision.

Participate in/oversee the maintenance of all records. Receive documents from various sources (including physician orders) and distribute copies/originals to other office users as needed and ensure compliance to company records policies.
Prepare new patient records and review them for accuracy, file all incoming documentation, ensure compliance to company procedures. Complete administrative record reviews, and prepare discharge files.
Respond to and maintain a log of external information requests, research information and provide copies to the appropriate person, record receipts of signed orders, mail physician's orders, track response and notify the clinical manager when signed orders cannot be obtained.
Contact vendors to order medical supplies, maintain adequate inventory and distribute requested supplies in an accurate/timely manner. Coordinate with clinical manager type/level of inventory, determine supply substitutions and handle special requests.
Provide backup to data entry on admissions paperwork, enter billing/payroll information and process/forward paperwork to the appropriate processing center.
Participate in performance improvement activities. Ensure the collection of data for improvement analysis and prepare reports for management.
Participate in implementation/maintenance of operational processes to ensure compliance to company policies, legal requirements and regulatory mandates.
Perform all duties inherent in a supervisory role.
Qualifications
Accredited Records Technician degree, a High School Diploma, or the equivalent plus a minimum of three years clerical recordkeeping experience including one year in a supervisory or lead role generally
Basic computer/data entry skills
Good organization and communication skills also
