Summary:
The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) provides non-medical care, companionship and light housekeeping to clients in their place of residence.
Shifts will be from 4 hours to 12 hours.
Day and night weekday and weekend shifts available
PCA duties include but are not limited to:
Medication Reminders
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Transferring
Incontinence Care
Bathing, Dressing, and Grooming
Meal Prep
Light Housekeeping
Companionship
Transportation
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 1 year experience providing care for seniors in a home setting or facility [ALF, SNR, Memory Care Unit].
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be flexible-weekend availability required.
Current TB test showing clear results required.
Must have 2 professional references
English proficiency and good communication skills
Excellent written skills for daily documentation
High school diploma or GED preferred
If driving client to and from appointments, must have valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
PREFERRED:
CNA and HHA training/certifications preferred
Current CPR certification
Ostomy care experience
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Licenses/Certification:
Current CPR certification preferred. If driving to and from patient visits, must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation and auto insurance.
Valid drivers license and auto insurance
Experience:
Prior caregiver experience required.
Prior caregiver experience with Dementia and Alzheimer preferred.
