Kindred House Calls is a high growth, innovative organization dedicated to improving the care and quality of life for the most vulnerable and underserved patients in the healthcare system. Kindred House Calls deploys care teams comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to better address patients primary care needs in the home. Coupled with Kindred House Calls remote triage and logistics support, these home-based interventions keep people in their homes and away from costly, often detrimental admissions to the hospital.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Executive Director will be responsible for the clinical, growth and financial performance of multiple Kindred House Calls markets.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the field-level owner of all business outcomes, working in partnership with the Market Medical Director to ensure the market sets and meets all utilization, hiring and retention, quality, and growth goals
Management of revenue and cost drivers to meet or outperform market EBITDA goals
Regular review and ownership of all market key performance indicators
Appropriate resource allocation (people, time, investment) based on changing, dynamic market conditions
High degree of comfort making autonomous decisions based on local market conditions
Strong ownership of positive market culture
Manage the operations of all field-based clinical providers, including:
Setting clinician territories
Recruiting, hiring and training of new providers
Overseeing the development of provider relationships in the community
Proactively develop and strengthen relationships with community partners, including managed care plans, assisted living communities, specialists, and home health agencies
Set quality goals and ensure those goals are met along with Market Medical Director
Communicate effectively with remote MSO support teams, effectively relaying market circumstances, needs and priorities
Serve as liaison between remote intake, clinical, scheduling, billing team and the market-level resources
Direct the growth efforts of local practice ambassador teams
Develop and continuously refine market strategy
Identify hiring needs
Prioritize growth opportunities
Clearly articulate market priorities to clinical, growth and support teams
Participate in company-wide operating reviews, effectively relaying market performance and needs to Kindred House Calls management team
Lead or participate in special projects with Kindred House Calls management team on an as-needed basis
Implement new clinical and operational initiatives across clinical and support teams
Qualifications:
7+ years of management or business development experience (healthcare preferred)
Bachelors Degree in business administration or healthcare related field, Masters level preferred
Dynamic, high-energy individual willing to quickly adapt to shifting priorities within a high-growth company
Excellent decision-making and time management skills
Extreme level of comfort operating with limited oversight in ambiguous setting
Comfort with 50-75% travel requirements initially and 25-50% once ramped
Management-level presentation skills
P&L, budgeting experience preferred
Strong communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Effective change management skills
