Overview:
We are looking to hire a digital marketing coordinator who will develop and implement our social media strategy. This role involves creating engaging content, managing our social media accounts, and analyzing performance to drive our brand’s online presence. The ideal candidate should be passionate about social media, creative, data-driven, with a keen understanding of current trends and best practices.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator position is in our Marketing Department at Samaritan’s Feet. This department not only supports other departments within the organization with their general marketing needs, but also have the opportunity to share the work and impact the organization is doing with their supporters and beyond. This position will oversee social media efforts, help with basic internal graphic design needs, and support the marketing department with various tasks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and executive social media marketing strategies across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media marketing and graphic design.
- Create and send monthly mass emails (eNewsletter, Thankful Thursday, Missions, Volunteers, etc) using Bloomerang platform.
- Create, as needed, donor email journeys with planned multiple touchpoints.
- Be able to create landing pages, fundraising pages or forms and collect data.
- Manage Google Analytics for website and meta-analytics for social media engagement.
- Update website: general upkeep, events, missions, special campaigns.
- Assist with online store using Woo Commerce and monitor sales and performance.
- Work with other departments to create and monitor various marketing campaigns as needed (ex: Hope Givers, NILs, etc).
- Graphic Design: Complete simple design work such as flyers, presentations, and graphics to help support internal department needs and that align with brand standards.
- Story Leads: Consistently work with other departments to develop interesting story leads to send to Communications Manager, while also using for social media.
- Creative Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to support email marketing, public relations, stories, videos, photography, etc. Bring those creative ideas to help us improve what we share with the outside world.
- Project/Data Management: Maintain and update digital photo library and regional press list. Coordinate meetings to keep annual and seasonal goals on track.
- Other: Ability to host focus groups, conduct surveys, and complete research. Willingness to travel and lead shoe distributions, as needed.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. We know it changes almost everyday, so we want you to love keeping up with it.
- Experience in design software (inDesign, Canva, Pages, etc.)
- Strong, clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Great attention to detail.
- A love for creativity.
- Project management experience within a fast-paced team environment.
- Proactive.
- A degree in business, communications, marketing, new media is preferred, but not required.
- Prefer candidate with proven working experience in social media marketing.
