Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner (APN/NP) to join our Phase I Oncology Clinical Research team. This role involves utilizing a patient-centered coordinated care model demonstrated through leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Assessments and Treatments: Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and treatments for applicants, team members, and external customers, ensuring compliance with NJ Board of Medical Examiners regulations and policies.
- Care Plan Development: Develop and implement evidence-based care plans tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring high-quality clinical care and positive patient outcomes.
- Patient Education and Support: Facilitate patient education and support programs, guiding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Clinical Protocols and Standards: Evaluate and update clinical protocols and standards of care to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation: Provide accurate and organized documentation of clinical findings, treatments, and recommendations, maintaining detailed patient records.
- Continuing Education: Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain clinical expertise and stay current with advancements in healthcare practices.
- Clinical Resource: Serve as a clinical resource for team members, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Ethical Care: Address ethical care issues, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained, and promote innovation in clinical practice.
- Clinic Support: Float to various clinic locations as needed, providing support and ensuring consistent care delivery across all sites.
Qualifications:
- Masters in Nursing as an APN, Nurse Practitioner, or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- Board certification NP designation in hand.
- Current and valid New Jersey RN and APN license or willing to obtain.
- BLS and HCP certificate.
- 3+ years of Oncology APN/NP experience required.
- Prior Oncology clinical research experience preferred.
- Strong oncology knowledge preferred.
[Preferred: Education on human subject research and GCP (CITI Training and Certification).]
