Description Under the general direction of a dean, a Student Health Center Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the Health Services program, including medical care, mental health, and health education activities, and coordinating the delivery of comprehensive students in accordance with state and federal program regulations.There is currently one academic tenure-track position with the initial assignment being located at Moorpark College starting during the Fall 2020 semester. All academic employees are subject to assignment in any college of the District depending upon staffing needs as defined within the terms of the VCCCD/AFT Agreement. Nontraditional assignments such as evening, weekend, or off-site assignments may be made with consent of faculty member, management or when special conditions exist on a campus as defined within the terms of the VCCCD/AFT agreement.Representative duties Coordinate delivery of comprehensive health services to students in accordance with state and federal program regulations. EPlan, organize, and oversee the activities of the Health Services program (including medical care, mental health and health education activities). Includes hiring and coordination of all work schedules. EAssist license medical care providers in providing care to sick and injured students; administer ?rst aid and initial emergency care and provide crisis intervention. EPrepare budgets, monitor status of program funds and account for proper expenditures. EReport health and safety issues to assigned administrator and appropriate agency for the purpose of maintaining students personal safety, community safety, promoting a positive learning environment, and compliance with regulatory requirements. EPlan and assist in delivering health education programs that promote wellness and the prevention of illness and injury; distribute information campus-wide regarding communicable disease control programs and services.
